Bob brought with him over 25 years of experience in public accounting when he joined Glass Jacobson’s Rockville Office in 2011. Previously, Bob was a tax partner at a BDO Seidman, a national CPA firm, after his firm, Bornstein Harab, was merged. Bob has been a certified public accountant (CPA) since 1982 and a certified financial planner (CFP) since 1998. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor of science degree in accounting in 1981 and a master of business administration in finance in 1989.

Bob’s practice focuses on tax planning, strategic business consulting and wealth management for entrepreneurial and closely held businesses in government contracting, real estate, construction, distribution, oil and gas, and professional services. He specializes in advising businesses on mergers and acquisitions through expert advice with tax, legal structure, and financing. Bob also is an expert in retirement planning.

Bob is a member of the University of Maryland Alumni Association, Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants; American Institute of CPAs; Exit Planning Exchange, DC Chapter; and the Maryland Technology Council. He has frequently written articles for publication and made presentations on the topics of tax and financial planning.
