Bob came to Glass Jacobson in 2011 with over 25 years of experience in public accounting. Previously, Bob was a tax partner at a BDO Seidman, a national firm, after his firm, Bornstein Harab, was merged. Bob is a CPA, has an MBA in finance, and has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 1994.
Bob’s practice focuses on tax and wealth planning for closely held businesses in government contracting, real estate, construction, distribution, and professional services. He specializes in advising businesses on mergers and acquisitions through expert advice with tax, legal structure, and financing. He also is an expert in retirement planning. Bob spent three years working as a consultant for Fannie Mae, leading teams to work with and test derivative accounting and re-engineer the corporate tax department to properly report for FAS 109.
Bob is a member of the University of Maryland Alumni Association, Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants; American Institute of CPAs, Exit Planning Exchange (DC Chapter), and Technology Council of Maryland. He has written articles for publication in the areas of tax and financial planning.
