The following PR announcement was originally published on Newswire.

CEFEX, the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence, LLC, an Fi360 company, has certified Glass Jacobson Investment Advisors, LLC in Owings Mills, Maryland to the standard described in the handbook “Prudent Practices® for Investment Advisors.” Glass Jacobson Investment Advisors, LLC (Glass Jacobson), an affiliate of Glass Jacobson Financial Group, joins the elite group of investment advisors to successfully complete the independent certification process.

The standard describes how an investment advisor assumes the responsibility for managing a client’s overall investment management process, which includes the selection, monitoring, and de-selection of investment managers, as well as developing processes to implement investment strategies and fiduciary practices. According to the general manager of the Centre for Fiduciary Excellence, Carlos Panksep, “Through CEFEX’s independent assessment, the certification provides assurance that Glass Jacobson has demonstrated adherence to the industry’s best fiduciary practices. This indicates the firm’s interests are aligned with those of stakeholders.”

"The CEFEX mark of distinction tangibly demonstrates that our firm is worthy of trust and confidence. It is an honor for us to earn this elite recognition." JON DINKINS, CPA/PFS, CIMA®, AIF®, CMFC®

Glass Jacobson Investment Advisors, LLC is certified for ERISA plan consulting, investment due diligence, fee benchmarking, 3(38) discretionary and 3(21) non-discretionary advisory services, and investment advisory and wealth management services to high net worth individuals. Glass Jacobson is registered at www.cefex.org, where its certificate can also be viewed.

The standard is substantiated by legislation, case law and regulatory opinion letters from the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Uniform Prudent Investor Act (UPIA), the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA) and the Uniform Management of Public Employee Retirement Systems Act (UMPERSA) in the US.

  1. I am looking for a financial advisor as mine of 25 years is retiring. I am very specific in that I want a fiduciary in the purest form of the word. I currently have a financial advisor who is CPA and estate attorney. He is very astute at finding the encrypted conflicts of interests in those who are fiduciary in name only.
If in fact you are free of conflicts of interest, please send me your legal disclosure statement that attests to that otherwise, I prefer not to waste my time or yours.

Thank you for your inquiry, Tracy. We followed up with you via email, but wanted to reply to you here as well. We are indeed independent and transparent in all our relationships. As you have already seen of our CEFEX posted certificate, this is the attestation by a 3rd Party certifying professional organization of our fiduciary status. Under a separate email we will attach our public disclosure document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (our primary regulator), each affiliated advisors’ biography (also on file with the SEC), and our privacy statement. We encourage you to contact Jon Dinkins for an appointment and further discussion of how we would work with you in your specific circumstances.

And like your previous advisor, we have many advisors who are also CPAs. Having designated tax and financial planning departments at our disposal gives us the unique ability to provide advice across all aspects of your financial life.

We look forward to speaking with you!
