As Glass Jacobson’s Director of Tax Services, Steve is extensively involved with estate, divorce and retirement planning, the purchase, sale and liquidation of businesses, real estate purchases and sales, and short and long-term strategic business planning. A Certified Public Accountant with a Master of Science in taxation and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Baltimore, Steve’s public accounting experience dates back to 1975 and his consulting experience includes client representation before federal and state governments. Steve also has an extensive background in real estate. Steve’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, of which he has served on the Estate Gift and Trust Planning Committee since 1990. In 2005, he earned Smart CEO Magazine’s Smart CPA Award. Steve has appeared several times on WBAL radio’s call-in program, Tax Law Changes, and on WCBM’s Tax Aspects of Real Estate Transactions. In addition, Steve has written numerous articles for The Baltimore Sun, The Daily Record, The Baltimore Business Journal and The Practical Accountant, and he has given numerous talks to business and professional organizations on the subjects of tax law and estate planning. |
