CHRISTINE R. SCHMITZ BIOGRAPHY

Christine has been an investment advisor for the firm since 2003. She also advises clients on annuities as well as life, long-term care, and disability insurance needs. Christine is a certified public accountant (CPA), a practicing certified financial planner (CFP®), and a personal financial specialist (PFS). She is life and health insurance licensed and is an investment advisor representative. She has also earned the long-term care professional designation.

Christine has a bachelor’s degree from the Peabody Institute (Johns Hopkins University) and is a graduate of the University of Baltimore in accounting and has a master of arts degree in legal and ethical studies. She is a member of the Maryland Association of CPAs, serving on their personal financial planning committee for many years. Additionally, Christine is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and has served as a reviewer of the AICPA PFS exam content.

Currently, Christine is a member of the Peabody National Advisory Council as well as the Society of Peabody Alumni Board. She is the current treasurer of VGIF, a charitable organization based in New York which provides grants for women and girls in developing countries. Christine is the chairperson for the AAUW Maryland scholarship fund as well as the finance committee chair for St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Sykesville. She is also a member of the Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle, a fund of the Baltimore Community Foundation.
