Jeff Cohen, tax manager with Glass Jacobson, has over 13 years of public accounting experience and a Masters in Taxation from the University of Baltimore. As a tax manager, he has strong tax consulting expertise along with a true passion solving the tax and business problems of his clients. Jeff has developed a niche in the real estate arena and works one on one with the firm’s real estate client base implementing tax strategies to minimize their taxes. He delivers seminars to various real estate investor groups in the Baltimore area on a variety of real estate related tax topics. He has also developed the firms strong State and Local Tax Consulting division finding unique solutions to assist business clients with recovering and future savings of state and local tax dollars.
Jeff works with nonprofit organizations to ensure compliance with the complex tax laws and Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT) issues. He is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and is on their Nonprofit Tax Committee. He is also on the board of several local charitable organizations.
