George W. Thompson
George W. Thompson has extensive experience preparing individual tax returns over 11 tax seasons with several small- and medium-sized public accounting firms, including the last three seasons with Polan, White & Associates, P.C. Other professional experience includes fiduciary, estate, non-profit and property tax returns.
Mr. Thompson has held the Maryland Certified Public Accountant (1991 to 2000) and Enrolled Agent for the Internal Revenue Service (1984) accreditations. He will be recertified as a CPA in Maryland in January of 2011.
Prior work experience includes 31 years of civilian service with the Federal government as a budget analyst and staffing planner with the Departments of Navy, Housing & Urban Development (Federal Housing Administration) and Energy. I also served three years in the Army (1960-1963) with an overseas tour in Germany.
George graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from American University in December 1970.
