Ed Jacobson, President, Glass Jacobson
Mr. Jacobson has 32 years of public accounting and business consulting experience. He joined Glass Jacobson as a senior accountant in 1980 and is now President of both the Accounting and Investment Advisory firms. Ed is a Certified Valuation Analyst, a Registered Investment Advisor and has a Life and Health Insurance License.
Mr. Jacobson has a wide range of expertise, including small- to mid-sized business valuations, expert testimony, business consulting and planning and tax research, preparation and planning. He is widely considered a top expert in his field, and has been published multiple times, including most recently in the Baltimore Business Journal (M&A Deals Only Get Done With Creativity,February 6, 2009).
Prior to Glass Jacobson, Mr. Jacobson was an auditor with Peat, Marwick & Mitchell. He is a member o the American Institute and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He sits on the Board of Directors for Kids Chance of Maryland, Inc., and has been honored by Smart CEO Magazine as one of Baltimore’s “Smart CPAs” in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. In February, 2001, Ed was recognized by Baltimore Magazine as a “5 Star Wealth Manager.”
