Glass Jacobson has designed a new program to provide young professionals with comprehensive and affordable financial planning services. The firm’s new Overview Plan gives people near the start of their careers the same financial planning specialization typically reserved for their more seasoned colleagues.
Historically, people beginning their careers have had few financial planning options that suited their lifestyles and chose to defer planning years or even decades. Glass Jacobson’s goal-based plan structure changes that, allowing people to begin planning their finances at a relatively early stage in their careers.
The Overview Plan follows the firm’s “one-stop shopping” model and concentrates on showing young professionals the level of wealth they can reasonably strive for within one to 10 years and providing a checklist of actions to attain those levels, including:
- Education planning
- Retirement
- Insurance
- Liability protection
- Estate planning
- Cash flow
- Goal setting
- Wealth growth
The Overview Plan consists of two one-hour meetings in which a Glass Jacobson financial advisor reviews the young professional’s current income level, goals, earnings expectations and future needs. Upon completing the meetings and reviewing the materials, Glass Jacobson provides detailed recommendations, and can fully implement the plan – simplifying the execution, and ensuring the plan stays up to date. The beginning price for the Overview Plan is $500 – tailored to meet the budget of most young professionals.
